Yay, looks like lux has full feature set. :) It would be kind of cool to have the rendertimes near the pictures themselves though. And I’d be glad to have some of my ~30 frames cuts for my short rendered with this workflow. ;)
Most of these images took somewhere between 24 to 48 hours to render. This is why i haven’t rendered any animation with it yet. It’s pretty slow.
Maybe check out the luxrender plugin for Blender for your short?
Thanks! This is what I guessed trying LUX renderer earlier. Thanks for the suggestion. The most appealing factor is that I have already the assets ready and animated in XSI. These short sequences display strong motion blur and neither mray (until I crank up the values very high) nor post effect deal with them correctly (especially intensely lit areas), so having them rendered in lux would be a very interesting option. ;) I keep my fingers crossed regarding the exporter! :)

Yeah, I hear what you’re saying. I’ll try to keep you posted if I release the script.
Luxrender does not support motion blurring deformations though, only object transforms and camera transforms.
What kind scene are you wanting to motion blur?
